La Délégation archéologique française en Afghanistan (DAFA), créée en 1922 et réouverte en 2004, 27ème institut de recherche français à l'étranger, poursuit aujourd'hui une dizaine de projets : prospections, chantiers de fouilles archéologiques (Bactres, Hérat, Bamiyan, Al-Ghata), restauration du patrimoine archéologique mobilier et immobilier, formation des professionnels afghans du patrimoine.

Nous vous invitons à le consulter régulièrement. Vous y trouverez des informations sur les programmes, l'actualité de la DAFA, les conditions d'accueil des chercheurs, l'utilisation de la bibliothèque (qui compte environ 10.000 ouvrages et 3.000 périodiques sur l'archéologie et l'histoire). Nous vous invitons également à vous inscrire à la lettre d'information de la DAFA qui paraîtra tous les mois. The French archaeological Delegation in Afghanistan (DAFA), created in 1922 and reopened in 2004, is conducting more than ten projects throughout Afghanistan : surveys, archaeological excavations (Balkh, Herat, Bamiyan, Al-Ghata), conservation-restoration of archaeological material and architecture, training of Afghan professionals in the field of cultural heritage.
